The principal activities of the Company and its subsidiaries are the production, distribution and marketing of gas, water supply and emerging environmentally-friendly energy businesses in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland.

Principally engaged in sale and distribution of gas fuel and related products; gas connection; sale of gas appliances; sesign and construction services; and gas stations.

The Group principally engages in investing, developing, operating and managing power plants and coal mine projects in China.

The principal activities are (a) the distribution and sale of piped natural gas and gas-related equipment, the provision of natural gas transmission, the surveying and plotting of underground construction projects, the installation of gas pipelines and related equipment and the provision of related repair and maintenance services, development and operation of city gas projects, LNG supply to industrial end users, trading and distribution of CNG and LNG and operation of CNG and LNG refuelling stations for vehicles in Chinese Mainland of the PRC and the trading of LNG and production and sale of oil and gas in certain overseas countries; (b) the construction of sewage and water treatment plants and other infrastructural facilities, the provision of construction services for comprehensive renovation projects, sewage treatment, reclaimed water treatment and distribution and the provision of consultancy services and the licensing of technical know-how that is related to sewage treatment in Chinese Mainland and certain overseas countries; (c) the provision of waste incineration plant construction and waste treatment services, and the sale of electricity, steam and heat generated from waste incineration in Germany and Chinese Mainland; (d) produces, distributes and sells brewery products in Chinese Mainland; and (e) the provision of consultation services, property investment.

The principal activity of the Company is investment holding and those of the subsidiaries are the generation and supply of electricity in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Australia, and investment holding of power projects in Mainland China, India, and Taiwan Region and Thailand.

The Group is principally engaged in generation and sale of electricity in Mainland China, including investment, development, operation and management of hydropower, wind power, photovoltaic power and thermal power plants, and provision of energy storage, green energy transportation, and integrated intelligent energy solution services.

The principal activities of its subsidiaries, associates and joint ventures are urban gas distribution, LNG processing and transportation, LPG sales, integrated energy and new energy. Additionally, the Company currently involves in crude oil exploration and production activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Thailand.

The principal activities of the Group are construction, environmental energy project operation (waste-to-energy plants, food and kitchen waste treatment projects, sludge treatment and disposal projects, leachate treatment projects, methane-to-energy plants, fecal treatment projects, fly ash landfill projects, medical waste treatment projects and solid waste treatment projects, and provision of waste sorting, renewable resources utilisation and sanitation operation services), environmental water project operation (waste water treatment plants, water supply, reusable water treatment plants, sludge treatment and disposal projects, sponge city construction, river-basin ecological restoration, waste water source heat pump projects, leachate treatment, research and development of water environment technologies and engineering projects), greentech project operation (integrated biomass utilisation projects, hazardous and solid waste treatment projects, solar energy projects and wind power projects, and provision of environmental remediation services), conduct of environmental protection technology research and development, provision of environmental-related technological services, design of environmental protection projects, provision of environmental protection project equipment construction and installation services and sales of related equipment, and investment holding.

The principal activities of the Group are the generation and supply of electricity in Hong Kong Island and Lamma Island.

The principal activities are investment in power and utility related businesses.
